For project class
The brief was to create a product based on the five senses: sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch.
I dove into the world of gastronomy and studied the experiences provided by different settings and sensations while eating. I chose to create a collection of eating utensils that would spark unique and memorable feelings on the user: confusion, happiness, anger, wonder.

The Rattle Glass: With a chamber filled with tiny loose glass spheres, this glass creates a lively sound experience when the user takes a sip, mimicking the sound of a rattle.

Dome Plates: Made in ceramic, these plates have an elevated dome in its center, evidencing the dishes' focal point and providing a cascading effect when used with sauces. The smaller version can be used as a bowl and should be held by the elevation's hollow part in the bottom, allowing the user to eat with an animal-like attitude, by licking the plate and eating without cutlery.

Blob Cutlery: These pieces, made in ceramic and stainless steel, force the user to relearn how to grasp and hold a knife and fork, letting go of the delicacy and elegance of handling cutlery, causing and uncomfortable, kid-like and mind twisting sensation.

Shell Spoon: Inspired by prehistoric spoons, this ceramic piece encourages the user to feel and develop a different grasp for a spoon, using as reference vague thumb placements provided by the design's shape and levels.
